CurHydro welcomes students from the University of Curaçao and SOLTUNA Curaçao to the farm.
A more sustainable food future begins with people who are willing to learn, share ideas and put knowledge into practice. On 22 October 2026, we had the honor of welcoming four students studying sustainability at the University of Curaçao (UoC), accompanied by their teacher and the director of SOLTUNA Curaçao, to our CurHydro farm.

Welcoming students and educators is meaningful to us because the future of agriculture depends on the people who will carry it forward. Their interest in sustainability connects with the purpose behind CurHydro: contributing to a stronger, more resource-conscious food system for our island.
Growing with Curaçao in mind
At CurHydro, we believe Curaçao has an opportunity to strengthen its capacity to produce fresh food locally. Our ambition is to help build dependable local production while developing an approach to agriculture suited to our island’s climate, resources and needs.
Our work in hydroponics is guided by that ambition. We believe innovation should serve a practical purpose: improving how we grow, making thoughtful use of water and other resources, and supporting the quality and consistency of locally grown produce. Progress requires careful observation, testing and a willingness to keep improving.
Connecting education with opportunity
We also believe that education belongs close to practical experience. A farm can be a place to consider how ideas about sustainability relate to everyday decisions about food, water, technology and the environment.
For Curaçao’s next generation, opportunities to connect with local initiatives can help make those possibilities tangible. We want young people to see agriculture as a field where scientific knowledge, creativity and entrepreneurship can contribute to their own community.
A future we build together
Lasting progress depends on people sharing knowledge and working toward a common purpose. CurHydro values connections among students, educators, growers and organizations that care about the future of our island.
We extend our sincere thanks to the four UoC students, their teacher and the director of SOLTUNA Curaçao for visiting our farm. We look forward to opportunities to stay connected and encourage learning across education and agriculture.
Our belief is simple: when we invest in knowledge, use resources thoughtfully and work together, we help create more possibilities for Curaçao.
